What does DITRA do under tile?
DITRA is an uncoupling membrane used under tile floors to help manage movement between the substrate and the tile layer.
It can also be part of a floor assembly where waterproofing details matter, but the seams and edges have to be treated according to the system requirements. The membrane is one layer in the floor, not the whole floor plan.
Renan considers DITRA alongside tile flooring, tile floor installation and the tile size being installed.
